A Star Is Born

I went on the new top 100 movies list of 2019 and in the top 5 was A Star is Born, I was always saying how this movie won’t interest me and how I’ll never be able to watch because at first, I thought it was a story about how Lady Gaga got famous. I was so very wrong about that, when I was watching this movie, I swear it changed me. It’s depressing, passionate, and courageous. The movie is about Jackson Maine a famous country singer who as depression and had an awful childhood after both parents dying very reliant on alcohol and drugs. Ally, is a young 31-year-old woman who as a very amazing singing voice and everyone says to her, “you have a great voice, but you don’t look that great,” and of course she doesn’t believe in herself till Jackson was drunk and needed a bar to go and falls into a Drag bar where Ally used to serve and performs their time to time and he hears her voice and instantly falls in love and they meet. They go on a journey together which carries out the whole movie.

This movie had so many things going it made very hard to understand every factor, but once your done watching it everything falls together perfectly and you realize what was going on the whole time. The way this movie is filmed is my favorite style of how I like movies filmed its very cinematic and shots were thought out about how which and where everything is placed. They break the 180 rule a lot, but it works because it's not just one person and one camera on that person and then when the other character starts talking its another cut. This was filmed with both characters in frame together so you see the chemistry and that's what Bradley Cooper said he wanted for this movie to see that chemistry. Bradley Cooper was the director and main actor in this watching it...  I fell in love with him and his character because he’s so passionate to Ally (Lady Gaga character). You really get to know each character learn from them because the scene and setting were planned so well. A Star is Born, are one of those movies that you really get thinking and fall in love with the character together and you don’t even know when there's a slight mistake because they seamlessly find each other and hold each other accountable which personally thought was very smart by the production team. If the movie was separate in two parts it wouldn’t work. This movie is about a famous man with childhood issues finding someone that is not confident in herself doesn’t think she’s pretty enough or good enough and he takes that flys pushes her to do her best and once he realizes that he gets more and more depressed because he knows she is becoming more and more famous day by day. You see Jackson (Bradley Cooper) get down on himself and very sad, but still, be love with Ally. It tricks the watcher to still be in love with the two characters together it's very powerful. The way Bradley Cooper filmed and planned this movie he used tactics so we the viewer understand it which made it so powerful and moving.  My favorite part of the movie is when they sing shallow and he says, “trust me,” that hits home because when someone you care about asks you to trust them it takes a whole another root of trusting each other which is very powerful and sets the whole rest of movie of them together. Also, the lighting in that scene is amazing to highlights both of them very well and ties you into them and it's like everything around disappeared and you still see what's going on, but its just them. I thought the ending of the movie was also very good, but I hated because that’s not at all that I was attempting to happen at all which I think is what the director wanted.
